Surgical Assessment Unit
A challanging project to refurbish and remodel a ward located at the heart of the hospital, mid-level in a multi-storey building surrounded by operational departments.
The new facility provided modern ward areas, side rooms and 12 patient trolley spaces, along with specialist ultrasound and examination rooms commonly required for inpatient departments.
A thorough understanding of the existing service arrangements within the hospital was crucial to ensure that existing areas were maintained throughout the construction stage.
A close working relationship with the client team ensured the Trust’s standards were adhered to within the design schemes and conveyed clearly with the documents.
This project was added to a long list of successful projects completed for the Trust as the site evolves and the masterplan progresses.
